Hace tiempo la idea de mezclar estampados no
hubiese pasado por mi cabeza, pero después de ver una infinita variedad de
combinaciones… ¡no puedo dejar de pensar en otra cosa! Debo ser sincera, hay muchas
tendencias, prendas y demás que no me animo a usar ya sea porque no me gustan –y
contra eso no puedo ir porque al fin y al cabo una tiene que estar cómoda con
la moda*- pero más aún porque no estoy segura
si mi figura y/o estatura lo permite, cosa que a todas nos pasa por la cabeza
cada vez que vemos alguna tendencia nueva en una revista nueva o blog. ¿Cierto
o no?
Pues bien. De alguna manera llegué a la conclusión de que combinar estampados no era una mala idea después de todo, y luego de probar las
rayas con leopard quise más. Y así fue cómo se me dio por
mezclar flores –y no cualquier tipo, sino las hawaianas-
con estrellas. ¿El truco? Ver el
look como una composición de tres colores principales: negro, blanco y amarillo; y dos secundarios (para los accesorios): rojo y gris. ¿Cómo hacer para no verme más enana? Pantys y zapatos del mismo color. ¡Secreto revelado!

Long time ago the idea of mixing patterns wouldn’t
have crossed my mind, but after seeing an infinite variety of combinations
everywhere ... I cannot think of anything else! I must be honest; there are
many trends, clothes, and others that I won’t wear either because they are not
particularly my cup of tea or my height. You gotta take those things in mind
before wearing something, right?
Well then. Somehow I realized that mixing
prints was not a bad idea after all, after my job with stripes and leopard I
wanted more. And that's how I got to mix flowers -not any kind but the Hawaiians-
with stars. What’s the trick? Picture the look composed by three main colors:
black, white and yellow, and two sides (for accessories): red and gray. Tights
and shoes of the same color and I won’t look shorter. Secret revealed!  |

versatilidad –la semana pasada lo usé para ir a un
desfile- sino por el
estampado de estrellas que estoy segura más de una buscó
por todos lados después de ver la pasarela

sí, puede que alguna esté pensando que
“stars are so last season”, pero como
todo en la moda es cíclico,
esta tendencia está regresando de la mano de lascelebrities. ¿Qué les parece?

Before I go, here’s a question? Am I the only
one who thinks this asymmetrical dress by Rock Papaya is amazing? Not only
because of the shape, cut and versatility, last week I wore it for a Fashion
Show, but also the stars print that I'm sure more than one looked everywhere after
the seeing the Fall 2011 Dolce & Gabbana collection. And yes, some may be
thinking that "stars are so last season", but like everything in
fashion, this trend is making its comeback. What do you think?
